Trade committee chair: the momentum is there for EU-US cooperation

Trade committee chair Bernd Lange made the following statement on EU-US trade and technology cooperation on Friday, ahead a meeting with commissioners on 26 October.
“The Trade and Technology Council (TTC) is a vital vehicle for driving effective joint action on shared trade priorities: we agreed on this with United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai and her deputy Jayme White during our in-person meeting on Thursday. I am reassured we share the same level of ambition on this common EU-US project.
To keep the wheels turning and to ensure both democratic accountability and wide reach of the TTC forum, in my view we should work on two concrete areas. [...]
